• Cloud modernization. Set and delivered a multi-year roadmap that moved 60% of transactional workloads to AWS in 18 months, with validated cutovers and zero business-impact rollbacks.
• Cost. Cut annual operating spend 18%, about $1.2M, through rightsizing, reserved pricing, storage tiering, automation, and vendor renegotiation, with no loss of SLA attainment.
• Resilience. Reduced incident MTTR from 4.5 hours to 1.2 hours by standing up an AIOps practice that applies anomaly detection to unified telemetry, catching emerging issues before they reach customers and triggering event-driven runbook automation. Infrastructure as code and self-service provisioning now deliver fully replicated, compliance-approved environments in under 24 hours, down from 7 days.
• Risk and compliance. Established enterprise data governance covering encryption, privileged access, audit evidence, and patch cadence, clearing regulatory audits with reduced findings.
• Executive influence. Authored and presented the enterprise AIOps strategy to the CTO and SVP leadership team, framing the operating model, maturity path, and investment case, and won executive endorsement.
• Organization. Built and scaled a cross-functional DBA, SRE, and automation team with career frameworks and succession planning, lifting retention and operational maturity.

• Team leadership. Led and mentored a 15-person database organization, setting engineering standards and career development while driving an automation and infrastructure-as-code program that replaced manual operations.
• Cloud migration. Led Oracle-to-AWS managed Postgres migrations end to end, from conversion through validated cutover, removing commercial license cost and migration risk for the wealth management platform.
• Fleet operations. Governed lifecycle, patching, and high availability across a 125+ instance, multi-terabyte estate, codifying the standards and runbooks that made reliability repeatable.
• Continuity. Architected replication and disaster recovery to strict RPO and RTO targets, including near-zero-downtime upgrades on revenue systems.

• Leadership and delivery. Grew from senior engineer to team lead over a decade, building the database organization serving the legal and financial services business units and becoming the escalation point the company called on for its hardest production problems.
• Platform and efficiency. Architected clustered, encrypted, highly available platforms for business-critical applications including enterprise ERP, then consolidated the estate through virtualization, centralized monitoring, and templated provisioning, lowering hardware footprint while protecting regulated client data.
